COLLABOBO IS ALL OF US
In 2013, Jessica Gaynelle Moss and artist and academic Brian T. Leahy, whose diverse backgrounds span different cultures, genders, and lived experiences, united to launch an innovative project: C O L L A B O B O. Their collaboration was born with the intention of focusing on relationships as the driving value in artistic and curatorial practices. As we approach another year of exploring and examining the possibilities and assumptions of exhibition and art making, we remind you that C O L L A B O B O I S A L L O F U S. Here's to 100 more years of visceral durational performances, gaudy and glamorous experiences, paradoxical implications + anonymously constructed immersive environments --
C O L L A B O B O wants to continue to build and collaborate with YOU.

Focusing on relationships as the driving value in artistic and curatorial practices, COLLABOBO explores the possibilities of exhibitions and art making. We continually examine the assumptions surrounding curatorial practice, and seek to build productive relationships with audiences, artists, administrators, and communities. COLLABOBO views professional designations, like curatorial tropes, as fluid and in flux. Context and format follow the needs of the human relationships at their center. As such, COLLABOBO operates beyond traditionally defined boundaries of curatorial practices as artists, makers, producers, helpers, listeners, witnesses, historians, walkers, instigators, writers, managers, administrators, politicians, experimenters, believers, explorers, et al. COLLABOBO has exchanged in Chicago IL, Milwaukee WI, Charlotte NC, Asheville NC, and Pittsburgh PA.
